The Owner of a local estate agency commissioned BMAD to renovate and remodel an existing ground floor retail unit in a prestigious part of Cardiff.
The existing spaces where divided up into small rooms with a shallow basement and poor access. We carried out a live design session with the owner and key members of his team establishing that an open plan arrangement would work best. Several Chimney breasts and structural walls had to be removed to make this possible but the result was worth it. The Estate Agency is now a bright open environment that lets in enormous amounts of natural light from the front to the back of the floor plate.
The basement was dug out, underpinned and tanked to make this more usable and offers a private meeting room for presentations and one to one client meetings and negotiations.
